Puck Of Pook's Hill (used, good condition)
In the quiet Sussex meadow called the Long Slip, with a little mill-stream 'bent round one corner of it; was a Fairy Ring of darkened grass. This was the stage on which the two children, Dan and Una, acted their version of a scene from "A Midsummer Night's Dream" one Midsummer Eve. Ot was when their play was over that Pucxk appeared, suddenly, from the bank of the stream -a small, brown, broad-shouldered pointy-eared person with a snub nose, slanting blue eyes and a grin that ran right across his freckled face. It is the ageless Puck who brings back the past for the children - the Roman centurion, Parnesius; the Norman knight; the Renaissance craftsman.

The 1906 publication below must be when this company MacMillan, 1st edition I think while centenary on 4 books by Rudyard Kipling, a Kipling centenary? 20 years after his birth? Or the company's centenary perhaps.
